2021 was a year during which ICL launched a broad range of activities and investments intended to align the company with rapidly changing societal needs, while continuously adapting to the various challenges we’ve encountered as the global economy emerges from the disruptions caused by a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic.

Our proactive approach of past years towards society’s sustainable development goals, and our culture of innovation are now fuelling our current efforts.

Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)

ICL is committed to identifying, managing and harnessing the risks and opportunities that climate change and the low-carbon transition may bring. This commitment is reflected in company’s support of the TCFD.

Advancing Food Security

ICL offers a variety of solutions to help farmers overcome agricultural challenges by facilitating increased crop yields on existing agricultural land and preventing excess conversion of natural habitats into agricultural land.

Food Innovation & Alternative Proteins

ICL’s products for the food industry include functional food ingredients and phosphate additives, which provide texture and stability solutions for processed meat, poultry, seafood, dairy products, beverages and baked goods.

Promoting a Circular Economy

ICL integrates a circular economy into its operations. The Company seeks new opportunities for waste re-usage, both internally and with external partners. It is also engaged in several pilot processes to use external waste streams as raw materials in its sites.

Sustainability through the Supply Chain

ICL is a proud member of the global TfS Initiative, which promotes sustainable practices throughout global chemical industry supply chains, mainly through widespread supplier sustainability assessments and audits.
