The UN Global Compact is an initiative announced by the UN in 2000 to mobilize companies around the world in aligning their operations and strategies around ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption. PolyStyrene Loop: Retrieving Bromine

ICL is one of the initiators of the PolyStyrene Loop (PSL) recycling project. The project promotes a ‘circular economy’ by introducing a recycling scheme for Polystyrene (PS) foams containing the flame retardant HBCD (Hexabromocyclododecane). PolyStyrene Loop is a cooperative representing more than 70 companies from the polystyrene foam value chain.
