In 2022, for the fourth consecutive year, ICL was announced to be one of 418 public companies across the world included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI). The GEI aims to track the performance of public companies committed to transparency in gender-data reporting and measures gender equality across five pillars: female leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and pro-women brand.
In the 2022 BDi ranking for 100 Best Companies to Work for in Israel, ICL was ranked 21st among all Israeli companies. Among all Israeli industrial companies ICL was ranked 1st. This survey-based ranking measures the views of Israeli employees and managers regarding their current and preferred places of work and also takes into account their companies’ investment in human capital.
ICL was rated B for its 2021 Climate Change Disclosure in CDP. ICL is also among the Supplier Engagement Leaders on climate change topics, in CDP’s sub ranking SER, with a score of A.
In 2021, ICL was included for the second time in the FTSE4Good Index, for companies with strong ESG practices. ICL’s FTSE ESG overall rating in 2021 was 3.4/5 which is high above the industry average of 2.2. Among hundreds of chemical related ranking companies, ICL is in the 60% percentile.
ICL was awarded the prestigious gold medal rating by EcoVadis, meaning it is ranked in the top 5% out of 75,000 rated suppliers.
ICL was awarded the maximum Platinum+ ranking, for the third straight year, in the 2021 Maala ESG Index. The Maala ranking is the leading ESG index in Israel.
ICL Iberia – Suria was awarded IFA’s Green Leaf Award, recognizing safety, health and environmental excellence. An in-depth review of 25 applications by an independent panel of SHE experts concluded that ICL Iberia’s plant in Suria, Spain deserves the 2022 Green Leaf Award in the Phosphate/Potash Producer Category for its excellent environmental case study and the overall world class SHE management of a fertilizer mining site.
ICL was announced as the principal winner in the Supplier Exceptional Service category, at the BALI National Landscape Awards 2021. In this category, companies must match criteria such as exceptional technical support, outstanding customer support and guidance, exceeding customer expectations, as well as having an excellent product range.
In 2021, the PolyStyreneLoop circular economy project, initiated by ICL Terneuzen, in cooperation with additional partners, won the ICIS Innovation Award in the Best SME category. The award recognizes the innovative technology behind the PolyStyreneLoop, its disruptive business model as a cooperative, and the impactful scalable solution that brings the circular economy into action.
