On top of this compliance approach, ICL has assumed additional standards and internal procedures that are in line with its values, principles, best practices and behavioral norms.
Integrity, fairness and prevention of bribery and corruption are central values of ICL’s organizational culture.
As a leading global company, ICL is careful to comply with applicable laws and regulations in all locations where it conducts business. For this reason, the Company’s compliance policies and programs are characterized by a high standard of caution, adopting heightened European and American standards. This includes preventing bribery and corruption, harassment, fraud, and violations in trade compliance, antitrust, securities, money laundering, and privacy laws such as the GDPR.
ICL is conducting a global risk analysis regarding Business Ethics. All employees must go through business ethics training and tutorials. In 2021, 95% of ICL’s employees with access to computers, went through the business ethics online-training.
This is one of the senior management KPIs. ICL’s target to annually increase the number of employees and managers that attend training was met, and we anticipate to keep up this high percentage rate.

ICL is implementing its Compliance Code with multiple steps and actions throughout the Company. These include the nomination of a Head of Global Ethics function which is responsible for the Global Code of Ethics program, company-wide activities such as compliance training during ESG Week, global computer based training, establishing a Global Code of Ethics Committee and more.
ICL’s Global Ethics Committee was established in the second half of 2019, to promote and adopt best practices for corporate governance and corporate ethics in ICL.
ICL’s Global Ethics Committee includes up to 15 employees and ICL executives around the world. Committee members discuss fundamental issues in ethics and compliance, influence and take an active role in outlining activities to implement the code of ethics and to build plans to improve corporate governance and ethics involving all stakeholders of the Company. ICL transparently communicates to all its employees the issues raised in the committee meetings, and the consequent decisions and guidance.
Promoting awareness and focusing on ICL’s commitment to compliance, were part of ICL’s Global ESG Week. Such Global ESG week included multiple virtual events and other activities with 7,750 participants from all around the world to promote the 2021 ESG Compliance topics of Conflict of Interest and the Ethics Hotline.
The highlights of the program included launch of ICL's updated Conflict of Interest global procedure, information on ICL's Investigation and Reporting process; Conflict of Interests professional lectures; Compliance digital quiz contests. In addition, we had regional sessions that we conducted around the world on Conflict of Interests to hundreds of ICL employees.
